July 19, 2011 at 7 pm at the Visual Art Exchange in Raleigh expert Alex Lehman will be speaking about tax issues for artists, specifically: sales tax, use tax and business tangible personal property tax. This session will be a look into some important tax information including sales and use tax, how it applies to you and how and when to complete the necessary forms. Also covered will be business tangible personal property tax: “what is it, do I have it and what do I need to do to remain compliant?”
This will be a lecture accompanied by a questions & answer session. About 60 minutes of lecture, a 15-minute break and 45 minutes of Q&A and form-filling. So come prepared with questions!
