ARTS Wake Forest is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting artists, arts organizations, and arts programming in our community. Founded in 1990 as the Wake Forest Cultural Arts Association, ARTS Wake Forest is led by a team of dedicated volunteers who work to enrich the cultural life of the greater Wake Forest area.
Our programs and activities are made possible through support from the Town of Wake Forest, United Arts Wake County, the North Carolina Arts Council, business and individual donors, and event sponsors.
As the visual arts program of ARTS Wake Forest, the Wake Forest Guild of Artists supports and promotes local artists through educational programs, networking opportunities, exhibitions, and special events. The Guild also organizes the annual Artists Studio Tour, the biennial Paint the Forest Plein Air Festival, and a variety of community outreach and arts education programs throughout the year.
Our Wake Forest Dance Festival initiative is currently on hiatus while we explore opportunities for a future dance event featuring live performances, film screenings, and community engagement activities.
ARTS Wake Forest presents the annual Six Sundays in Spring concert series and the Wake Forest Holiday Artisans’ Market. We also collaborate with other community organizations by assisting with events such as the Public Art Commission’s Community Celebration of the Arts and the Wake Forest Garden Club’s Autumn Art & Plant Festival.
In addition, we support local arts organizations by providing volunteers and promotional assistance for their programs and events. Several community arts groups, including the Wake Forest Singers, Forest Moon Theater, and the Wake Forest Camera Club, began under the umbrella of ARTS Wake Forest before becoming independent organizations.
