Featured artists for the March 10th show:
John Nolan (guitar), Pat Mosca (piano), and Jaraad Samad (piano) are students of Gerry Diamond, who is the founder/owner of Family Piano Academy. These extremely talented young men will be performing original songs, as well as some cover tunes. Rumor has it that Gerry (who is a gifted singer/songwriter as well as a fabulous teacher) might sit in on a song or two!
Skylar Gudasz and the Ugly Girls (folk/indy band) play gorgeous, lurid folk daydreams that sound like reading a book while doing the three-step shuffle. This young band is shaped by well-crafted songs and swinging arrangements of string bass, guitar, piano, flute, drums and three part harmonies. Coming to us from Carrboro, you can learn more about them and listen to their music on their site and also via reverbnation.
Arielle Bryant is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter who has been hypnotizing the public with her mind-grabbing voice and lyrics since the age of 15. Arielle is inspired by a wide variety of genres and artists, and has been compared to female acts such as Tori Amos, Amy Winehouse, Joss Stone, Adele and many more. You can listen to some of her work on reverbnation. Like Skylar, she has other sites, as well, so check them out!
