The Raleigh Flute Choir is giving a benefit performance tomorrow, Saturday, April 14, in Youngsville at 7:30PM at 120 West Franklin St. Proceeds for this benefit concert are going to support the Youngsville Museum. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door.
The Raleigh Flute Choir, a chamber ensemble of professional flutists from central North Carolina, was founded in 1986 and has distinguished itself as one of the nation’s leading flute choirs. Utilizing all members of the flute family, they perform an exciting repertoire spanning the centuries from the Renaissance to the present, including transcriptions and original compositions. In addition to formal concerts, they fulfill their mission to both entertain and educate by performing for numerous community and private functions, often via a trio or quartet. As a major sponsor of the Raleigh Area Flute Association, the choir also supports masterclasses, recitals, amateur choirs, seminars, and scholarships for area flutists.
