The City of Asheboro, NC in conjunction with the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce, and the Randolph Arts Guild invites artists to submit work for the 6th Annual Downtown Sculpture Exhibition. The downtown area is the renewed vibrant heart of the community and is home to many small shops, a number of restaurants and public space.
The sculptures will be sited in the Asheboro downtown area and are to remain on exhibit 18 months, from October 15, 2012 thru April 15, 2014. The sculptures must be large scale, durable and able to be secured sufficiently to concrete pads or the ground. Participating artists will receive an honorarium of $750.00 to be paid in two installments with the first $400 payment upon completion of the sculpture’s installation and the second $350 payment after said sculpture is removed at the end of the exhibition.
