Join us on Saturday April 13th at 7:00pm to hear the music of Irish musician James Olin Oden. Listen to the words of young poet Emily Ramser. She will be sharing a selection of her written work. Finishing off the evening is local musical group Red Sky Moon.
The performance will be held upstairs at The Wake Forest Coffee Company. Wine and beer are available. A $5 per person donation is suggested to support these great artists and their work. Seating is limited. Please come a few minutes early so that you will not miss any of these talented performers.

James Olin Oden started playing music about age 17, but it was not until he was 36 that he really began his musical career in earnest. It all started when he was was asked to play guitar for a single gig on Saint Patrick’s day. Once he discovered his knack for singing Irish music, his journey began as he started building his Irish and Scottish repertoire and developing his highly rhythmic style of guitar accompaniment. James has been making music with groups such as The Friendly Fiddlers, The Gypsy Rovers and The Irish Wolfhounds.
While still with the Irish Wolfhounds, James has recorded his own solo album, Samhain’s March: A Winter Journey. Samhain’s March was a seminal moment for James as it packaged in one album traditional music and original music spanning both Celtic and Americana styles.
James enjoys playing gig after gig, further refining his dynamic foot-stomping, heart moving performance.
Emily Ramser has been writing for as long as she can remember. She started out scribbling little fantasy tales about dogs on asteroids in an grade school creative writing class, but since then she has forayed into many different genres and publications. Primarily a poet, she also writes flash fiction and articles for Wake Forest-Rolesville High School’s “The Forest Fire”. As a senior in high school, Emily plans on attending Salem College next year to pursue a degree in Creative Writing. Red Sky Moon. Jon Savary sings and plays guitar, Clay plays bass and guitar and sings, and Adam plays drums, and sings too. We play a mix of original and cover tunes based on the 3 fundamental instruments of rock and roll; bass, drums, and guitar combined with compelling vocals and harmonies for a rich organic sound that delights the aural palate!
