The Fuquay-Varina Arts Council (FVAC), is planning their 2nd annual Benefit Art Auction, to be held on Friday, November 8th at 7 pm at Stars Theater and Arts Center, with a preview reception from 5-7pm. We are currently taking applications for consignments of Art of any media: oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, ink, mixed media, digital music/art, handcrafted pottery, sculpture, jewelry, metal, or woodcraft. Donations of classes, lessons, or camps that instruct in any art form are also appreciated.
Artists will receive 50% of the proceeds. The remaining 50% will go to the Fuquay-Varina Arts Council to support their mission to inspire and enhance the lives of citizens in our community and beyond by developing appreciation of the arts, presenting arts programming and education, supporting local artists, & fostering creativity in the community.
Deadline to register is August 30th, 2013. Artists will be notified by September 6th, 2013 if artwork is accepted, and artwork will need to be delivered or picked up by September 22nd, 2013 . Application fee is $10.00 for members of Fuquay-Varina Arts Council and $20.00 for non-members to submit up to 6 pieces of art for auction. The Benefit Art Auction will give artists a chance to increase exposure of their talent to the public and allow their creative works to be enjoyed and appreciated by others in the community.
