This is your chance to work outside your norm. Everyone has a comfort zone. We are looking for work made in your discomfort zone. Explore the ideas that are darker/stranger, outside of your usual scale or medium, or outside what is currently happening in contemporary art. We want the departures, the mistakes, the set-asides, the where-the-hell-did-that-come-froms. Art that doesn’t usually have a place in programmed exhibitions will find its home in this show. Get uncomfortable with your work. Make the work that isn’t your work. And then send it to VAE for B E R S E R K.
No theme or media restrictions. Entries must fit through VAE’s 104″ x 71″ door to be exhibited. Juried with JPEGs. Two entries per artist. Entries must be received by February 24, 2014. See the VAE announcement for more information.
