Join in a celebration of the art of storytelling—an age-old form of entertainment. At the Forest Storytelling Festival on Saturday, August 9th, 2014, four renowned storytellers will perform rousing concerts for children and adults. Learn how to tell your own story by participating in one of the children’s or adult workshops. Workshop participants are invited to share their stories during free open mic sessions.
The Forest Storytelling Festival, featuring Priscilla Best, E. Gale Buck, Robin Kitson and Claire Ramsey, will be held in Downtown Wake Forest, NC at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre and the Storytellers Bookstore. Day-long festival activities begin at 10 a.m. Workshops are $5; children’s concert is $5; adult concert is $10.
