Yvonne King Art at Sip & Shop

Yvonne King with her original art at Blackbird Brewery Sip and Shop Market

Our visual arts group, the Wake Forest Guild of Artists held a Sip and Shop as the first of their pop up market series. The Sip and Shop was presented on March 18 in the beer garden at the Blackbird Brewery located in the Heritage neighborhood of Wake Forest. Twelve artist sold original work. Free art lessons were offered to visiting children by Guild of Artists member Indigo Lamb. Special thanks go to Blackbird Brewery for hosting the market and providing music by Mike Edwards and Robert Turner. Cape Fear Seafood Company, soon to open a restaurant in the Heritage neighborhood, was onsite with free steamed oysters.

The Sip and Shop was a great start for the Guild’s plan to host quarterly pop up markets in various neighborhoods of Wake Forest. Visit our blog again soon for information on future pop ups.
