The Six Sundays in Spring concert series features a different genre of music each Sunday from 5:30-7:30 pm at the E. Carroll Joyner Park Amphitheater. The series takes place annually for six consecutive Sundays starting on the last Sunday in April.
This year, Beatles tribute band Beatlesque opened the season on April 28 followed by a rainout on May 5 when we had scheduled Flamenco music and dance by Eduardo & the Paco Band. The popular Soul Psychedelique Orchestra celebrated Mother’s Day on May 12, and Marcus Anderson and the East Coast Collective brought Jazz Fusion and R&B music to Joyner Park on May 19.
The May 26 concert featured Top 40s and Dance Hits from The Magnificents Band, and the series will conclude on June 2 with Reggae/Caribbean music by the Sensory Expression Band.
Presented by ARTS Wake Forest and the Town of Wake Forest’s Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department, the Six Sundays series receives support from The Town of Wake Forest, United Arts of Wake County, and The North Carolina Arts Council.
