ARTS Wake Forest is a non-profit that supports artists and art programs in our community. Our organization was founded in 1990 as the Wake Forest Cultural Arts Association and is currently run by a team of dedicated volunteers. We receive support from The Town of Wake Forest, United Arts of Wake County, and the North Carolina Arts Council, business and individual contributions, and event sponsorships.
Our Wake Forest Guild of Artists promotes the visual arts and artists in our area. It offers educational programs for artists at member meetings and provides exhibit opportunities. The Guild also organizes a Spring Artisans Market.
Our Wake Forest Dance Festival group provides masterclasses and auditions for dance scholarships, and offers educational outreach programs to the Wake Forest Boys and Girls Club. The dance group also screens dance films featuring original choreography that were filmed at Wake Forest’s picturesque E. Carrol Joyner Park.
ARTS Wake Forest organizes the annual Six Sundays in Spring concert series, the Wake Forest Holiday Artisans Market, and assists at the Public Art Commission’s Celebration of the Arts, Juneteenth Celebration, and the Wake Forest Garden Club’s Autumn Art & Plant Festival and Art & Garden Tour. We support the Firebox Theatre Company and the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre by providing volunteers for arts events. Among the local arts organizations that started under the umbrella of ARTS Wake Forest are the Wake Forest Singers, Forest Moon Theater, and the Wake Forest Camera Club.
